Industry Trade Organizations
One of our biggest challenges as a Trade Organization is managing the complexity of all the projects, standards committees, focus groups and industry publications. Members are located all over the world and getting them to connect, collaborate and participate can be overwhelming. We saw the need to help our members create better ways to establish project visibility and interaction.

The quantity of projects that we have to manage keeps growing, but we aren’t getting an increase in staff to keep up with the work load.We have to find a way to be more productive in the way we assign, document and manage progress for these projects. We have to be more accountable to the overall goals set by management.

Marketing/Advertising Agency
We are a mid-sized Marketing/Advertising Agency and have tried many products to organize client projects and manage project tasks and due dates. A few products gave us some of what we needed but they weren’t the complete package that we hoped to find. We needed the ability to easily share documents and have an audit trail for the different versions of our project documents. We also needed a way to interact with clients other than expensive location visits and emails.

Multi-Regional Organization
With all of the publicity and pressure to better manage an organization, I needed to redefine our goals and have well thought out strategies for the projects we have or will undertake. I need to be able to clearly see our progress and be able to report this information to the board each month. I want to have each manager and their direct reports, become more involved and accountable for their contribution to these company goals.

Non-Profit Organizations
Our employees are very passionate about our Non-Profit Organization which is a very good thing, except when we have Staff meetings. What were once 30 minute meetings once a week have transformed into 2-3 hour meetings once a week. They are far too long and not very productive. We wanted a system that would let each individual update their project status, provide detailed information in an easy to find work area, and give staff the ability to provide comments and inputs.

The Banking industry is going through a challenging period. Our competition for business is at an all time high. New regulations, customer apprehension, consolidation and bank closing are just a few of the many hurdles that we have to overcome. Every program we provide has to be effectively managed, reported, and balanced against the intended goals so that we can regain the positive momentum needed to run a healthy organization.

Consulting Firms
We can’t get our clients on the same page. Every time we submit something to be reviewed, it can take weeks because before we get a response. Our clients often times email the work we develop to multiple people to get their opinion before we can get approval to move forward. All of our efforts are on hold until we get a response and it is not productive. We needed to find a way to present our work, get rapid input and move forward with minimal delays.

Government
In the age of government budget cuts we need to find more efficient ways to manage programs and projects. We have to be able to report, audit and comply with many new regulations and do it as simply and quickly as possible.
The tools we need have to be easy to use so that we can quickly train personnel and have rapid adoption. The solution has to provide value to the individuals using the tools or they will not use them.

Any organization whether small or large needs to establish a business plan, set goals, and manage the activities that lead to successfully accomplishing these goals. You may be a one person business or have hundreds of employee’s yet many of the disciplines needed to run a successful organization remain the same.
